Surfactis Technologies was founded in August 2004 as a spin-off from INSERM unit 646, in order to provide industrial partners with innovative solutions for surface functionalization. Surfactis Technologies is located in the biotech park of Angers, and has an agreement with the University of Angers to use scientific apparatus such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry, mass spectrometry, and microscopy. The Company received the National Award for the creation of high tech companies from the French Ministry of Research and Industry in 2003. Surfactis Technologies is member of competitivity cluster Atlanpole Biotherapies.
