Looking for Perfection in the World of Natural Products
For almost 30 years now, Alban Muller has explored the planet’s extraordinary natural wealth. The eponymic company he created in 1978 acts in a field of high added value: research in plant-origin active principles and formulating up-market natural products for the Beauty, Health and Well-Being Food industries.

Inspiring itself from advanced research in the sciences of life, present in the whole world, the Alban Muller Group is one of several medium sized companies who innovate and work with and for major brands. These companies thus contribute to the international acknowledgement of French industry, in particular in Cosmetics.


Prompted by his huge respect for Nature, Alban Muller has chosen to set his company’s future under the sign of sustainable development by taking part in each step of the creation of a natural product, and by committing to protecting biodiversity in the Herboretum Association.

Today, whilst a flood of products claiming to be “natural” may confuse customers, Alban Muller, elected-President of the Cosmetic Valley in July 2005, offers a true deontology code relating to “Green Intelligence” and intends to contribute actively to the international influence of French cosmetic genius.

A Global Approach to Natural Products
Research and technology are inevitable today for any expansion in the Plant professions, however true deontology, extreme accuracy at all times and total transparency are also essential factors.

To stand up to his committment, Alban Muller has defined an entirely unique global approach by choosing to take care of each step of the creation of a natural product in France and to be an actor during each stage of the chain, from the seed to the finished product: from the choice of the seeds and cultivating the plants, to formulating the products; from the raw material to the ready-to-use cosmetic products.

From the Seed to the Finished Product
Because careful planning carried out beforehand guarantees an efficient aftermath, and because the quality of extracts lies in that of the plants, the Alban Muller Group has chosen the strategy of inspiring itself from French farmers’ know-how. Medicinal plant cultures have thus been planted in the Beauce region, in the French countryside, an area famous for the quality of its farming products, where fields of Angelica, Coneflower, St John’s Wort and Coriander live side by side with the vast Wheat plantations.



The Alban Muller Group works on some 400 plants and more than 40% of its production comes from French cultures.


A Monitored, Qualified and
Certified Production Chain
Because the quality of its product is the cornerstone of its organisation, the Alban Muller Group has chosen to completely master its manufacturing thanks to its two industrial sites based in France, one in the parisian suburb of Montreuil, and the other near Chartres, south west of Paris, at the heart of the Cosmetic Valley, a few cables’ lengths from its farming partners.

All the processes used (macerating, filtering, percolating, concentrating) are strictly monitored and respect protocoles established by an internal Analysis Laboratory. Monitoring Laboratories are also present on each site to guarantee conformity to specifications and Quality control.

The Alban Muller Group works on the permanent improvement of extracting procedures. It has established innovative methods such a zeodration, a drying alternative technique to traditional processes. This new low-temperature dehydration technique fully protects even the most thermo-sensitive active principles, while at the same time saving energy. Zeodration is eco-clean and perfectly meets Alban Muller’s extract-quality and Nature-friendly aims.


Liquid and dried extracts, raw material and finished products, and all Alban Muller products are made in France on his two adaptable, in-house sites, and with the ISO 9001:2000 certification.




A New Generation of Natural Products
As far as raw material is concerned, A.M.I. offers high tech actives for skin care, bringing together natural extracts, plant blends and bio-technological actives. These include: HPS3?, extracted from a brown alga cultivated in the Mediterranean, and an astonishing rejuvenator, whilst the marine active Protectami? acts as a skin-protecting shield by opening the “calcium way”. Amiporine? is made from Pomegranate and is an effective anti-ageing moisturiser, restoring the water flow in the skin.

You also have the Phytami? range: 100% natural, preservative-free plant extracts, where Wheat and Cinnamon are combined with Linseed and Hibiscus. The Alban Muller Group has placed all its know-how in this range, calling upon particularly environment-friendly extracting and drying technologies.

In the fully expanding field of Well-being Food, new, rich in active principles, dried extracts, for active mineral waters, energising drinks, and even slimming capsules and vitality sachets are also available. The Group works on surprising combinations, bringing together flavours and plant extracts (chocolate truffles with Linden tree extracts, chocolates with Elderberry extract…).
