In 1883 Hayashibara began as "Hayashibara Shoten" producing starch syrup on the Asahi River. Starting in the food business which relates deeply to life, we have driven ourselves in a unique manner to become a leader in enzymology, microbiology and biotechnology and to continue diversifying in the life sciences.
Hayashibara's desire is to create sound lifestyles. Such interest in and quest for knowledge from living creatures will create a new definition of abundance.
