When we started our journey in a relatively unknown by lane in the year 2000, the internet was still in its infancy as far as India was concerned; perhaps our biggest challenge was to overcome the mental block predominant in most minds. The prevailing idea was, this internet is very well placed in places like USA, Europe but hardly appropriate in a country like India or in a traditional city like Kolkata. We thought otherwise, the speed and the economy which is the driving force of the internet seemed to have a very obvious need. We expanded the idea because it was our conviction that internet is here to stay.
