Mitsubishi Gas Chemical America, Inc. (MGCA), established in 1984, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Inc. (MGC), a major chemical company in Japan founded in 1971. MGC is a major producer of methyl alcohol, ammonia and its derivatives, xylene-based petrochemicals, hydrogen peroxide, engineering plastics, electronic materials and unique oxygen-absorber products for food preservation. MGCA exports raw materials to MGC in Japan, imports MGC's products to the US, and also provides a technical, sales and customer service liaison.
