Who is ARCAT?
ARCAT provides information on building materials for architects, spec writers, engineers and contractors. Including 10,500 manufacturers with thousands of their cad details, specifications, BIM families, wizards, links to every web site and other information. This data assists professionals in making informed product selections.

June 2006 ARCAT Launches ARCATgreen Reports that provide data that can contribute LEED credits to a building product's LEED certifiction.
January 2004 ARCAT Launches Outline / Short Form SpecWizard an interactive spec writing service containing 275 generic specs for use as Outline Specs or on smaller projects.
October 2003 ARCAT Launches Videos highlighting benefits and feature of various manufacturers and their products..
March 2002 ARCAT Launches SpecWizard an interactive spec writing service containing manufacturer specs.
Feburary 2002 ARCAT management team acquires 100% of all ARCAT assets from Bricsnet NV.
January 2000 Bricsnet NV aquires ARCAT.
March 1999 ARCAT CAD details launched
August 1995 Published the first issue of ARCATAlert, a new product magazine for architects.
July 1995 Activated the ARCAT Internet site containing over 9,000 company and association listings plus the entire library of ARCAT specifications.
March 1994 ARCAT library of CSI 3-part specs is launched.
March 1992 Published the first national directory of building product manufacturers, called ARCAT, with a circulation of 40,000 architects.
June 1991 Six ex-Sweets executives established The Architect's Catalog, Inc.
