Mr. Harshad Shah, Chairman and Managing Director  of Doshi Group, initiated Doshi Group, is a selfmade  Business Entrepreneur, started his career  immediately after completing his graduation in B.Sc. (Chemistry) in 1980 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.  He started initially trading of organic & Inorganic Chemicals with Caustic Soda Flakes & Lye.    With his profound skill and broad vision, the Doshi Group has taken over a sick manufacturing unit, called as Sigma Solvents & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.situated near Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India in 1982-83 and within a short span of time, say 2 years, the unit was brought into profitable making unit and Sigma Solvents & Pharmaceuticals Ltd., started manufacturing various grades of (Sovent EtherIP/BP) and Aneasthetic Ether.

During the year 1997, the group took over one more unit, viz. Milan Intermediates Pvt. Ltd.stiatuated at  Industrial  Area of Vatwa, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, manufacturing H-Acid at low capacity and brought into a profit making one within short  time.at a low capacity, manufacturing H-Acid. and turned in to a profit making one in a short time.
