Performance Plastics Ltd. was founded in 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio. From its beginnings, the company has focused on the application of highly engineered plastics for the performance advantages they provide.
Performance Plastics has molded PEEK since the material was first introduced in the early 1980's and has deep experience as approved processor of Torlon. We have also been involved in development work for liquid crystal polymer (LCP) resins. Our company is one of the few able to mold FEP using 8 cavity, high volume molds with hot runner systems to produce critical fluoropolymer parts.
In 1997, the company was acquired by Tom Mendel who brought his passion for solving customers’ most difficult problems along with his two decades of technical and management experience. Our facility has been recently expanded and our equipment is continuously upgraded to keep us one of the most automated, efficient and best-equipped high performance plastic components producer in the U.S. Almost 30% of the components we produce are shipped to international customers because we provide “Best in Class” value.
