Charles Lambert founded Lambert Corporation in Houston, Texas in 1945 and the Orlando plant was opened in 1952. Lambert sold both plant operations to Guardsman Chemical in 1970 and the company operated as a subsidiary of Guardsman unitl 1978, when it was purchased by Roger Meyer and two partners. The partners retired from the company in the late 1980's and the company is now owned by Orlando-based holdings group, Meyer-Ledlow, LLC.
