Armand Products Company, a joint venture between OxyChem and Church & Dwight Co., Inc., sells potassium carbonate and potassium bicarbonate. Carbocloro S.A. Indústrias Químicas, a joint venture between OxyChem and UNIPAR, manufactures and sells chlor-alkali products in Brazil.
OxyChem has been an active participant in the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care? initiative since its inception in 1988. In addition, 17 of OxyChem's U.S.-operated sites, including its headquarters facility in Dallas, currently have Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) STAR status, the U.S. government's highest award for safety excellence.
